The factory is a magic place which strange atmosphere is difficult to be perceived by a profane eye. I like the life to be perfectly programmed here, ritualised, in total contrast with my turbulent nomad life.

this omniwriter downloadable concept is a.ma.zing. not sure if i'd be able to write with all those sound effects but all those toolbars sure are a good riddance. so far and long have we strayed from the meaning of our words when we type on computers, vulgarly traded for bells, whistles, that it was high time for a comeback. can't wait to give it a go.

Japanese design keisuke fujiwara has created 'spool chair' to pay homage to the iconic thonet chair.for his design, the chair has been hand-wrapped in approximately 12 km of 12 different colored threads, displaying the meticulous process and power of working by hand.
the chair comes in versions of 'fire' and 'water' which are presented in gradations of reds, oranges and yellows and purples, blues and greys respectively.

Jacob Ouillette's paintings
Jacob Ouillette's paintings are like pinwheels or solid bricks of colour. Beach umbrellas, quilt patterns, colour swatches - all the individual elements work together like cogs to create relationships that form the whole. These large scale oils become mesmerizing, and the site-specific ones are spectacular. Verve, movement and asymmetry make Ouillette's paintings lively without being overwhelming.

the concept of the 'vitrahaus' connects two themes which are occurring in the architectural practice of herzog & de meuron
the five-storey structure is comprised of 12 'houses' - five houses are set at the base in which seven other houses are stacked upon one another. each of the structural volumes appear as if they have been shaped by an extrusion press and are cantilevered up to 15 metres in some places.
the floor slabs intersect the underlying gables, resulting in a three-dimensional assemblage or 'pile of houses'.
